Each year the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers offers two $1,000 scholarships to selected students who are interested in pursuing a career in Fire Protection Engineering.  Candidates for the scholarships must be accepted into a 4-year engineering or engineering technology degree program and have either: a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, score 600 or better on the mathematics portion of the SAT, or have a score of 19 or better on the ACT.


  • Applications Received: January - April

  • Review and Selection Process: April

  • Recipient Notification: 1st week in May

  • Funds provided for following fall semester (late May or June)

To apply for the scholarship, the enclosed Application for Scholarship form and essays must be completed and returned by April 16, 2010.  Submittal of application by email is preferred, but US mail is acceptable.
